the reason i came home
my aunt sandra was married to (my new) uncle lloyd! it was all very wonderful. the wedding and reception was a fairly small affair at their home with family and close friends. my mum, darlene, was maid of honour and lloyd's neighbor, ranjit, was best man. my dad gave sandra away and i was the photographer. it was just grand! i'll post some pictures to flickr.

Were there any tears?
there were some tears. during the ceremony lloyd and sandra took a moment to remember their previous spouses (thelma and brian - who have both died) and acknowledged the fact that both had had happy and long marriages before they found each other. it was really very special and touching. that's when everyone cried as everyone there had known either brian or thelma before they died.
