i seemed to have stopped crying for now
holy sweet mother of everything holy! i hate moving more than mushrooms...and i despise mushrooms above all else. i can't count how many times i've cried while trying to pack up my life. anyone who's seen my flat knows how tiny it is. but you'd all be shocked and amazed to know just how much crap i've managed to cram into it. it almost boarders on the obscene.
and if moving wasn't stressful enough, the water running through my flat and the chicken shop decided to get all blocked up and flood the shop. now i don't so much care about a flooded chicken shop (even though they never shut, even when there was a stream running out the door - EWWWW - where are the health and safety police?) but the landlord told me to cease and desist all showers and dish washing. luckily (i guess) my toilet runs on a different system so i was allowed to use that. so i'm getting all sweaty with the packing and moving. it's 30 degrees. i can't take a shower for 3 days. i was ripe. that made me cry as well.
thank the gods for jonathan and his garage. i'm not sure what i would have done without it as a storage space.
and praise the gods that i found alex (even if the timing is supremely crappy as i'm moving home for many months) because being able to stop packing and cleaning for a cuddle makes all the difference in the world! we went for a sunset walk through epping forest the other day (a forest near jonathan's) and there was a swan couple in the pond with 7 cygnets. the whole family came out of the water and greeted us by trying to eat our toes. what fun.
so the end of the chicken shop era is near. only 4 more sleeps. and 4 more mornings waking up to the smell frying chicken flesh. i'm off to edinburgh on wednesday for a week and then i'm homeward bound. it's all very conflicting. i'm happy to be leaving the chicken shop but not so happy about having to move. i'm happy about coming home for a goodly chunk of time but not so happy about leaving london.
right, i feel another cry coming on. i'm so very emotional this week.
